My Favorite Things//Face

I believe make-up is supposed to be used to enhance you natural beauty, not cover up. I love products that are easy, light, and natural. I've used many products that leave me feeling like I'm wearing a mask while other left me with nothing. Luckily, I found product that settle nicely on my skin. Here are my top favorites!

Blush: tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour blush
The hype is true! This blush is perfect with great pigment and lasting power. The color is build-able, so its perfect for all skin shades. It comes in over ten different colors (pictured color: Fearless) and it's an Allure Best of Beauty award winner!

Concealer: Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing
This stuff covers everything! High pigment and non-drying formula makes it perfect for everything. I use it for under my eyes and blemishes. I suggest using a concealer brush with it because it is a little thick. I use e.l.f concealer brush, only one dollar!

Bronzer: theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
Just like Benefit's hoola but cheaper and more build-able. It has a great matte finish that makes it perfect for everyday or even contouring. Plus it has the cutest packaging!

Foundation: Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow!
Moisturizing and not oily! The best combo. This foundation has a beautiful finish and great medium coverage. Leaves skin looking bright and even. It's easy to blend so you don't have to use too much.

Powder/Foundation: Benefit Some Kind-A Gorgeous
This is my everyday foundation. Starts off as a cream but it set like a powder. It has light to medium coverage depending on how much you use. Super blend-able and last all day. It's by far my favorite make-up product!

My Favorite Things//Skin Care

The best make up is skin care! Since the age of 15 I have been doing my best to take care of my skin. I was lucky enough to have my older sister who taught me that the most important thing for your skin is to take care of it, not to cover it with pounds of foundation. Since then I have been experimenting with many products, finding the best for my normal/dry skin. My conclusion: Stick to natural skin care!
Here are my favorite skin care products!

Daily Moisturizer: 100% Pure Jasmine Green Tea Moisturizer
My friend introduced me to 100% Pure a few months ago and since then I have been obsessed! This moisturizer is gentle, hydrating, and it has a great light scent. I use it every morning and my dry skin is no more!

Eye Cream: 100% Pure Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine Eye Cream
This eye cream is like a cup of coffee for your under eyes. It makes you look and feel more awake. I use it day and night. This little tube has lasted me a good 2 months now and I still have half a tube left.

Night Cream: Alaffia Africa's Secret Multipurpose Skin Cream
I love Alaffia; not only are their products made with the best ingredients and certified fair trade but also the sales from their products goes to community empowerment projects in Togo like Bicycles for Educations. Africa's Secret Cream is by far my favorite product. It heals acne scares, pimples, moisturizes, and prevents aging. This skin cream is a bit oily so I wouldn't recommend for day time use.

Spot Treatment: Trader Joe's Tea Tree Oil
I have been using this product for more than four years now and I recomended it to everyone! From people who suffer from sever acne to anyone who has one or two blemishes. It dries up pimples FAST! It does have a strong smell to it but it is worth getting used to.

The everything magic cleanser: WATER! Make sure to drink 8 glasses a day.

Festival style

With BFD around the corner, I've been looking for the perfect festival outfit. Looking at previous get ups at Coachell, here are a few pieces I love for spending the day listening to awesome music.
The kimono is an all time favorite of mine. So easy to throw on but it gives an outfit a very relaxed yet put together feeling.
Pairing that with high waisted shorts and a lace bralet keeps it cool and summer-y.
Booties are also a must. They keep you clean  and comfy. Layer on some gold jewelry and you're sure to be the next boho princess!

The Tulle Skirt

My most recent purchase was this Topshop midi tulle skirt. I've wanted a tulle skirt for a long time but all of them seemed too "fluffy" and I wanted something for everyday wear. This skirt was exactly what I was looking for. The tulle falls perfectly over the tight slip and sways so nicely in the wind. Bonus: The fabric is so soft!
Pairing the skirt with lots of neutrals is a great way to make it versatile. You can wear it to work, dinner, shopping, anything! Also two-tone is one of my favorite, so when I saw the Olivia and Joy bag and the Issac Mizarhi heels I had to buy them.

Everything beige and black!

Love this skirt in the wind!

"Can You Taste This Gold?"

My current obsessions: "Fancy" By Iggy Azalea and all gold everything!
Growing up, I always thought of gold as tacky due to all the middle eastern men wearing thin gold chains around me. Within the past few months my taste has changed and gold has become my absolute favorite! It is so delicate and feminine. It looks good with everything! Neon's, pastels, white, black...literally EVERYTHING! I decided to incorporate some gold into my "day at the park" outfit.

Live Colorfully...

For those of you who don't know this about me... I love Kate Spade New York! My love for this brand started a few years ago when I was mesmerized by all the gold and bright colors. Today while I was at the Kate Spade store in Santana Row I remembered why I love it so much. In the short time I was in the store I noticed so many different types of people were shopping there. I saw a mother and young daughter shopping for her first pair of earrings, women of all ages, and men shopping for mother's day. This brand has such a nostalgic feel. Every time I shop there I feel like I'm playing dress up! Their use of fun colors, shapes and fruits makes shopping an exciting adventure!
Here are a few pics I snapped while shopping there today.

Glitter pumps because...why not!

Satchels, perfect for summer!

Gifts For Mom Under $50

Gifts For Mom Under $50

With Mothers Day around the corner, the rush to buy mom the perfect gift has started. Here are a few of my favorite picks for mom this year.
Kate Spade and Ted Baker are always on the top of my list for my mom. Kate Spade always offers cute and playful accessories perfect for mom, the phone case and earrings are just that! The earrings are staples for any wardrobe, perfect to pair up with a denim top. Kate Spade phone cases are all adorable and most are under $50!
Ted Baker's cosmetics case is useful and feminine for all moms. The plastic material makes it a breeze to clean, no more foundation stains!
The bangles, clutch and necklace are all from J Crew. Perfect additions to any summer outfit mom plans on wearing.
Lastly, the Ban.Do Gem Speaker, my absolute favorite! This portable speaker has up to 12 hours of continuous use from one charge. Cute enough for desk or taking it to the beach over the summer!

Mother's Day Brunch Glam

Untitled #1

Mother's Day is always a great reason to get all dressed up. This outfit is comfortable while still being glamorous. I recently purchased the Topshop midi skirt, it's a great soft fabric and a very pretty tulle without being too puffy. The J Crew blouse is the perfect basic denim top. It goes with everything and gives the skirt a great toned down glam feel. This Ted Baker bag stems from my most recent obsession with handbags. The bow gives the structured bag a feminine feels. Pointed toe heels are all the range right now, and I love it! And these Kate Spade heels are amazing! Lastly, always top off a good outfit with some bright jewelry and lipstick. :)
