I'm always searching for new art, music, and styles but I rarely come across something that blows me away.
While perusing rad.co today I came across a collaboration that absolutely thrilled me. Fly Art Productions is a genius combination of hip hop and art. The concept is simple but the out come is spectacular. They pair up lyrics perfectly with classic works of art. Here are a few of my favorite pieces.

They're Real!

The wait is almost over! Benefit's They're Real! Liner is finally launching on the 27th and I got my hands on it a few day earlier. This lash hugging gel liner pen is the real deal. It has the AccuFlex tip that helps guide you to create the perfect line. Any trouble with the classic cat eye have disappeared! It is high pigmented, so no need to go over the same line. And water proof is an understatement! This stuff won't budge without makeup remover. Combine it with They're Real! Mascara for a winning combo.
I also picked up the new Benefit Lip Balm in "Poise Balm". It has a subtle tint and all day moisture. Unlike other tinted balm's that tend to flake off and just create a mess.

Have you tried They're Real!? Let me know what you think of this product!

Everyday Makeup Tutorial

My motto for everyday makeup is to keep it fresh, natural and bright. From school to work, I need something versatile and easy. Here are my six steps to an everyday bright face.

Step One: Prep-it up!
How you take care of your face before you start applying your makeup determines how the final product will be. Always moisturize and protect yourself with sunblock!

Step Two: Prime Time!
Primer is one of my favorite makeup products. It gives you the ability to transform the look and feel of your skin. I use a "that gal" (brightening) and the POREfessional primer just on my t-zone. Some people like to put it all over but I find that I just need it on this specific area.

Step Three: Cover, Conceal and Set!
This is where the magic happens. I start with foundation in the center of my face and use a damp BeautyBlender  to blend it out. This gives you a natural look and helps avoid pesky foundation lines. Next, conceal! I use L'Oreal Magic Lumi Highlighter concealer under my eyes and on the bridge of my nose. I also use boi-ing to cover any other imperfections. Using powder will set the foundation and insure all day coverage.

Step Four: The Blush Crew
I feel like blush is underrated. You should not be skipping this step. Even if you don't have time to do your makeup, just sweep on some blush. Now that the weather is heating up I have added bronzer back into my routine for that summer glow.

Step Five: Three's a Gang.
A little goes a long way when it comes to the eyes. You only need a few products to make a world of a difference.  Stilla Liquid Eyeliner, BADgal Mascara, Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara are my favorite eye products. I use a thin line of eyeliner, just enough to make the eyes pop. Next, a coat of BADgal, then wait 30-60 seconds to avoid clumping before a coat of Scandaleyes.

Step Six: Finishing Touches!
NYX Wonder Pencil is my favorite. It's concealer, eyeliner, and reverse lipliner all in one! I use it as eyeliner to open and brighten my eyes. The Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm gives a great pigmented color while having a lip balm feel.

The Finished Look

Have fun with your makeup and remember a little goes a long way!

Tell me your favorite makeup rituals and routines!

#alljazzeduproommakeover

After a week of DIY projects, spray paint, and IKEA furniture, my room makeover is complete! When I decided to re-do my room I wanted to go for a more mature look, so I retired my One Direction poster and bedsheets and headed to Pinterest for some ideas. Finally I went for a taupe color for my walls with accents of pink. My main goal was to create a space filled with light and no clutter.

Vanity/Desk, perfect for all the work I need to get done!
Tray from Target (Threshold)
Pink chair from IKEA only $20!
IKEA desk only $18!
Black boxes, two for $4. Pink boxes, $5.
Perfect for storing extra books, movies, CD's.
Organizing books by color creates a cleaner look.
Twine and clothespins are perfect for hanging photos.
$10 DIY project VS. $30 tassel garland on ETSY
By enhancing the natural light in my room with light walls and reducing clutter I was able to get exactly what I wanted. Even though I had a small budget and space I was able to use the furniture I already had and with a little sanding and spray paint make them look brand new. Reusing things you already have saves your wallet and creates less waste!
It's important to create a space that makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Take some time to make a space like that for yourself.
